NCAA rules would not permit a team like Columbus State from practicing with Ohio State. The reason being is that you have to remember that a member of Columbus State's squad or any NJCAA team as they could be a potential recruit. A player like Jeremie Simmons came from Mott who defeated Columbus State in the finals of last year. Cincinnati State's Marquis Mathis was recruited by Thad Matta when they played Columbus State last year.
