Here they are

September 11, 2009 by Vaughn Francis

I have my picks for this week locked and loaded. But first I need to vent about Georgia Tech who killed my ticket last night. Up 24 at one point over clemson only to let them come back and not cover. All my picks are posted with the final spread that I would play. For college this week I took:

Central Michigan +14.5 over Michigan

Conn +4.5 over North Carolina

and............I know I may get killed on this one but a wise man once said use your mind and not your heart when it comes to these picks.........

USC -7 over the Buckeyes. Dont be mad. If it makes you feel any better, I took the vikings over the browns too. Coach Tressell's coaching style is a bad matchup against the USC program.

My last team on the the ticket is an NFL game.
I took Oakland +9.5 over San Diego. 9.5 points is a lot for a rivalry game. Anyone can win this one.

My second ticket is all NFL:
I took New England -9.5 (bought a point) over Buffalo. If I had to pick one to worry about, it would be this one. But New England has looked strong, and they are 5-0 against the spread the last 5 games.

Cincinnati -2.5 (bought a point) over the Broncos. Denver is in a bad situation at receiver with the Brandon Marshall situation. They also have a rookie head coach. They have covered 4 out of the last 5 against Denver.

Lastly.......
Minnesota -4 at Cleveland. This pick hurt, but it is my lock of the week. We decided to start Brady Quinn (its about time), so they are on the upswing , but they wont have enough to get past Minn. Be on the lookout for them to surprise Pittsburgh in week 6.
Those are my picks for the week. Feel free to shoot me any questions.

Oh yeah, dont bet your house on anything. This is a casual hobby for me and I never wager more than you can afford to lose. Crazy things happen in the game of football (Georgia Tech and Clemson).

Central michigan and UConn have done their job. Hopefully everything else falls into place. We'll see though.

This is great...

You know, I don't bet on sports, but this is fun to read. You should keep it up.
